Antonio Cuciniello was born in 1975 in Torre del Greco (Naples, Italy). He is third-year PhD student at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
In 2001 he got a Diploma in Arabic Studies and in 2002 a Licentiate in Arabic and Islamic Studies at P.I.S.A.I. (Pontifical Institute for Arabic and Islamic Studies), Rome. In 2000 he got a Master’s Degree in Comparative Studies at Istituto Universitario Orientale, Naples. From 2003 to 2005 he lived in Cairo.
In 2006 he took part in an International Visitor Leadership Program with the support of The U.S. Consulate General in Milan focused on Intercultural Relation and Muslim Integration (Washington and Detroit). Since 2005 he has worked at Ismu Foundation, an independent organization promoting studies, research and projects on multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society, and focusing in particular on the phenomenon of international migrations. Since 2007 he has been working in ISMU as responsible for the management and implementation of Sportello Arab-informa (consultancy), whose aims are to disseminate correct knowledge of the Arab and Islamic world.
His main fields of work and research interests are: education, religion, interreligious dialogue, intercultural approach, integration process, second generation immigrants.
