Luigi Curini is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Milan, where he teaches Political Science, Analysis of Political Institutions, Game theory and Applied Multivariate Analysis for Social Scientists.

After graduating in Political Science from the University of Milan, he earned a M.Sc. from ASERI (1999) and a Ph.D. on Institutions and Organizations from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (2002). He is a member of the Editorial Board of RISP (Rivista Italiana di Scienza Politica) and Co-founder of the Centre for the Observation of Legislatures (COoL), University of Milan. He is also Co-founder of the research project Voices from the Blogs, a platform that allows social media monitoring and analysis.

His main interests lie in party competition, collective action theory, social media. He has published several papers in international journals such as British Journal of Politica Science, The Journal of Politics, European Journal of Politics, Electoral Studies, West European Politics. He is the author of four books.
