Leadership in a changing multicultural context

The challenge

The implications of today’s global crisis go far beyond the financial and economic sectors. Companies need to learn how to face international emergency turning it into an opportunity for their business. Three key concepts have to be considered: change, complexity and multiculturalism. Effective? A deep insight into the global scenarios dynamics and the knowledge of their impact on internationally operating organizations are necessary to efficiently deal with the challenges of the new markets and to create successful working strategies. Managers and executives must develop new visions, using their personal leadership skills so as to face change in complex business environments and to achieve their companies’ goals in a global system.

 

 



Focus and aims

The programme aims to give managers and executives new insights, using their personal leadership skills so as to face change in complex business environments and to achieve their companies’ goals in a global system.  Guidelines:

  • awareness of what is happening in the larger political, financial and economic world;
  • understanding business-related international dynamics and their impact on professional life and business;
  • managing change in an increasingly multicultural environment;
  • development of personal leadership approach in order to successfully handle with new challenges;
  • leadership in multicultural teams;
  • the ageing issue in a global organization.

Target participants

The programme is designed for executives and managers in leading positions, who need to increase their knowledge of changing global systems and to improve their leadership skills in an international setting. The two-day learning exoerience specifically addresses participants who:

  • work in multicultural teams;
  • occupy an international position;
  • lead or aspire to lead organizational change;
  • hold or aspire to hold a key role in organizations.

Villa Vigoni

The programme takes place at Villa Vigoni, a charming residence near Lake Como, where participants will enjoy an enchanting environment. The workshops will be held in the newly refurbished conference room, while the meals will be served in the old beautiful rooms of the main Villa. Participants will be host at
Villa Vigoni.  Logistic details will be communicated after registration.

Intensive learning lab residenziale in lingua inglese pensato per executive attivi in organizzazioni globali intenzionati a: acquisire una maggiore consapevolezza dei mutamenti nella sfera politica, economica e finanziaria a livello internazionale; comprenderne le ricadute sul business delle organizzazioni e sulla vita professionale; imparare a gestire il cambiamento in un ambiente multiculturale; sviluppare strategie di people and diversity management per affrontare le sfide legate al mutamento e valorizzare risorse provenienti da contesti differenziati; affinare uno stile di leadership efficace per guidare gruppi internazionali e gestire le problematiche legate all'ageing in un'organizzazione globale.

Il programma di due giornate, organizzato dall'Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in partnership con Robert Bosch Spa, è pensato per un numero limitato di iscritti (15), al fine di favorirne l'interazione e di garantire un elevato ritorno sull'investimento formativo. Il corso avrà luogo dal 1° al 3 luglio 2012 nell'incantevole cornice di Villa Vigoni, dimora storica sul lago di Como, dove i partecipanti potranno godere di un'accoglienza di alto livello e immergersi in un ambiente esclusivo, ideale per la privacy e lo svolgimento delle attività di formazione manageriale, nonché per le opportunità di networking con dirigenti e professionisti provenienti da diversi enti, istituzioni e imprese.
