Saccucci Andrea


Prof. Saccucci graduated in Law at LUISS University of Rome and holds a Ph.D. in Human Rights from the University of Palermo (2002). He is ssociate Professor of International Law at Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli (since 2012); Adjunct Professor of Human Rights at Università Cattolica di Milano (2014); Adjunct Professor of International Law at the LUMSA of Rome (2014); Adjunct Professor of International Protection of Human Rights at the University of Urbino (2003-2012); lecturer of International Human Rights Law and Migration Law at the LUMSA University of Rome (2005-2014); visiting scholar at the Law School of the Columbia University of New York (2006); attorney at law specialized in human rights litigation before national and international courts and bodies.

Prof. Saccucci is member of the Executive Board and strategic litigation coordinator of the Unione forense per la tutela dei diritti dell’uomo, member of the International Institute of Humanitarian Law of San Remo and of the Human Rights Group of the Scuola Superiore dell’Avvocatura; human rights expert of the Council of Europe and the OSCE in the framework of training activities and fieldwork for lawyers, judges, prosecutors and ombudsman throughout Europe; expert of the EU CARDS program for the justice reform in the Western Balkans (2005-2007); author of two books and many articles in international law and human rights; editor in chief of the review I diritti dell’uomo, cronache e battaglie and member of the editing board of the review Diritti umani e diritto internazionale.
