The Master in International Relations Management is an innovative postgraduate program deriving from ASERI’s 12-years of experience in the field of education and training in International Relations.
The MIRM focuses on a comprehensive concept of international relations, considering not only inter-states and inter-governamental relationships but also the complex multifaceted networks of businesses, non governmental organizations, regional institutions, and universities, acting on a global level.
The Program aims at training outstanding young graduates from different disciplines who aspire to work as global managers in the field of international relations – both in the private and the public sector – within companies, institutions, chambers of commerce, NGOs, and other organizations.
The MIRM offers a high-level education and professional training in international economics, finance, politics, and law, including those management skills and analytical tools indispensable for a successful career in a constantly changing international milieu.
The Master also provides a well-balanced combination of theory and practice, by focusing on the emerging political-economic issues of the international system: trade, finance, security, information and communication technology and global networks, energy and environment.
The privileged partnership with important academicians from different countries and leading professionals from multinational companies, international institutions, and non-governmental organizations will allow students to take
part in team projects and individual internships. English is the language of instruction of the Master.
The Master’s Degree (Level I) will be granted by Università Cattolica after the achievement of 60 credits gained through the attendance to all the Master activities and the positive results in the examinations taken.
The MIRM begins the next January 2009 at the ASERI campus in Milan.

The Master is spread over 4 integrated levels aiming at fostering a multi-dimensional education as well as research skills, analytical tools, professional development.
1st level – Scientific Training & Management Skills
Courses' attendance offers an important opportunity for participants to meet each other and the ASERI international Faculty and staff. This represents a unique chance not only to share ideas, experience and interests, but also to broaden personal perspectives and knowledge.
The program focuses on four different areas:
A – Economics
B – International Relations
C – Law and Institutions
A specific training area D is devoted to the management skills development (negotiation, communication, project financing, organization management) which help the new international professionals in confronting emerging problems in their multiple dimension.
2nd level – Advanced Training on Global Issues
The MIRM includes an advance training program on the most relevant global issues that both governments, international organizations, NGOs and multinational private companies are facing at the beginning of the third millennium:
- International Trade
- International Finance
- Security
- ICT and Global Networks
- Energy & Environment
Professionals and executives from companies and institutions are strictly involved in planning, organizing and teaching this 2nd level.
3rd level – Project work
The Master's participants join in the elaboration of a project work where the multidimensional analysis of a problem leads to the identification of its fundamental nodes. Students develop their research activity within small, well integrated groups in order to strengthen their ability to work in team. Each group deepens a topic related to one of the 2nd level global issues areas. Project works will be supervised both by a professor and a professional from a partner institution.
