Marcella Ferri is PhD in Science of International Cooperation and Adjunct Professor (equivalent to the Italian title: Professore a contratto) of Institutions of Comparative and European Law - module of European Law - (a. y. 2016-2017) at the University of Bergamo.

She collaborated as expert consultant to some research projects promoted by the Council of Europe and she worked as Project Assistant at the Directorate General of Democracy of the Council of Europe. She was Research Fellow at the University of Bergamo, Visiting Student at the United Nations in Geneva and at the Interdisciplinary Institute of Ethics and Human Rights of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland).

Her main interests lie on the international protection of human rights, with a peculiar focus on cultural rights; on those issues she published some articles and a book (From the participation to identity. The evolution of international protection of cultural rights, Milan, 2015, in Italian).
