Musquar Philippe

Philippe Musquar is currently an Adviser to the Director General of the Legal Service of the European Parliament. During his 30-year career with the European institutions (Commission from 1989 to 2005 and Parliament since 2005), he held a series of both operational and management positions in the fields of customs, international trade, fisheries and agriculture, including two consecutive foreign postings representing the Commission in Geneva (WTO) and Ottawa (Canada).
Philippe Musquar studied law at the University of Franche-Comté in Besançon (France) and at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium). He also holds diplomas from the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (Sciences Po.) and the College of Europe in Bruges. Aside from his responsibilities at the European Parliament, he has been lecturing on EU Trade Policy at the Institute of Political Studies in Lille (Sciences Po.) since 2007 and has published a handbook (in French) on this subject at éditions Larcier in March 2020.
