What is nonlinear warfare? What are the effects it can have on your goals? Marta Ottaviani in her book 'Russian Brigades. The hidden war between trolls and hackers explains why Moscow in the last 20 years has decided to employ a strategic model other than the purely military one, making use of information and digital technologies. A 'grey' war that changes weapons and theatres of combat, but which is destined to be increasingly present in our lives, with potentially deleterious consequences that have not yet been sufficiently investigated.
Marta Federica Ottaviani (Milan, 1976) is a professional journalist and works for various national newspapers , including the newspaper Avvenire. From 2005 to 2013 he resided permanently in Turkey, where he reported on Recep Tayyip Erdogan's rise to power, also following the Greek debt crisis since 2008. Since 2018 he has also started to deal with Russia. His book Il Reis. How Erdogan changed Turkey, he won the Fiuggi History Prize.
