To facilitate the recognition and attestation of university-level knowledge and skills in an increasingly global labour market, Università Cattolica is introducing the Open badge: a new tool for identifying, enhancing, collecting and reporting skills at an international level, already adopted by thousands of organisations around the world.
Participants in the Managing International Relations Summer School will also receive it.

Summer School: certify your skills with the Open Badge
Open badges are digital certifications of a presence/knowledge/competence/qualification, which has been acquired through face-to-face and/or online training activities.
What is an Open Badge?
Open badges are digital certifications of a presence/knowledge/competence/qualification, which has been acquired through face-to-face and/or online training activities.
How does an Open Badge work?
An Open Badge is a digital snapshot of the skills acquired. Just as a photo contains - in addition to the photo itself - information on the date and place of shooting, in the same way the Badge also contains additional information - metadata - readable by all applications that read Open Badge. The metadata makes it possible to verify that the Badge is assigned to the trainee and to access all the descriptive content of the Badge, hosted on the platform that issued it.
Once obtained, the Open Badge is linked to a dedicated page with your name, the date on which the certificate was obtained and the description of the training experience carried out.
How do I get an Open Badge?
To obtain it, it is necessary to have completed the course, with attendance of at least 75% of the lessons, and to have passed an end-of-course evaluation test.
What added value does an Open Badge have?
Once issued, the Badge can be included in the digital curriculum vitae, used on all supported platforms or disseminated through social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram, Pinterest) by downloading and sending the badge image from the dedicated page or by linking to it.
