On November 5, 2026, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore hosts the XVI Leadership Learning Lab ASFOR, a morning of discussion on the role of middle management in contemporary organizations.
Linking strategy and operations, accompanying change and guiding people towards common goals: middle management occupies a central position in the life of organizations. A function that, in the face of changes in work, is confronted with increasing responsibilities, new balances and fragility.
The XVI Leadership Learning Lab, promoted by ASFOR – Italian Association for Management Training, entitled "Middle management: between relevance and fragility. How to inhabit middle earth?". A theme that is intertwined with the commitment of the Graduate Schools of Università Cattolica, of which ASERI is a member, in the development of skills and the continuous training of professionals and managers.
The meeting will start from the results of the research "Middle Management: a crucial role in transformation", curated by the Managerial Learning Observatory ASFOR-INAZ, to explore the challenges and opportunities of those who work at the junction between strategic vision, corporate objectives and people.
The dialogue between companies, academia and training professionals will offer an opportunity to reflect on how to enhance the role of middle managers, strengthen their effectiveness and promote the involvement of people in the processes of organizational change.
