Nicolazzi Massimo

Massimo Nicolazzi holds a Master’s of Law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and has authored many essays in the energy field, including the books “Il prezzo del petrolio” (“The Price of oil”, Milano, Boroli 2009) and “Elogio del petrolio” (“In praise of Oil”, Milano, Feltrinelli, 2019). He has accumulated an over 35 years long experience in the energy sector, holding executive positions in Eni/Agip, in Lukoil and then as CEO in Centrex Europe. He is currently director/managing director of medium-small companies operating in the fields of energy and finance. Since 2016 he is Professor of Natural Resources Economics at Turin University.



Energy security trends in the Middle East
The course aims at familiarising students with the evolution of the notion of energy security from the 1973 crisis to date, focusing inter alia on the changing equilibrium between producers and consumers and on the impact thereto of market evolution; and further at introducing the challenges that the producing states may be facing as a consequence of energy decarbonisation
