Nicola Pedde, PhD, is the Director for the Research on the Middle East at the Center for High Studies of the Defense, within the Italian Ministry of Defense, and as well the Director of the Rome and Brussels based think tank IGS – Institute for Global Studies, whose primary objective is that of conducting analysis and scenarios on politics and security in the Middle East and Africa.

Nicola Pedde has been an adjunct professor at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" and the John Cabot University, teaching "Politics and Security in the Middle East" and "Geopolitics of Energy".
