Our history

ASERI - Advanced training for the leaders of tomorrow

Our history

ASERI, the Graduate School of Economics and International Relations, is the place where the great changes taking place in politics and the global economy are studied and interpreted.

Founded in 1995 thanks to the commitment, above all, of Prof. Lorenzo Ornaghi, first Director of ASERI, then Rector of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and Piero Bassetti, then President of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, the School has become an international reference point for those who want to understand the present and intend to conquer a leading role in the near future.

Today, our community has more than 1,800 alumni in over 80 countries who are involved in international organizations, multinational companies, public institutions and NGOs.

Our secret? A unique faculty in the world that brings together more than 100 academics and global professionals, with skills ranging from economics to diplomacy, from finance to international cooperation. A laboratory of ideas, cultures and perspectives that transforms every classroom into a multicultural, dynamic and future-oriented experience, ready to train the leaders of tomorrow

A heartfelt thank you to the Directors of the Masters, professors and visiting professors, who year after year have become fond of ASERI to the point of feeling this "place" of teaching and cultural training as their own home: a truly special place, a real "laboratory" of ideas and visions for the future. Thanks to the students who, by weaving, preserving and strengthening relationships of sincere friendship over time, have exported to many parts of the world and made 'public' the distinctive identity of the Graduate School.

ASERI, committed to reading the world for thirty years

The Graduate School of Economics and International Relations of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore turns 30

30 years of ASERI,
A story to tell

To celebrate this anniversary, we have collected everything in an unpublished volume: a choral story between memories, reflections and future prospects.

The leading voices? Distinguished professors, alumni who have left their mark and the three directors who have guided ASERI over time: Lorenzo Ornaghi, Vittorio Emanuele Parsi and Damiano Palano.

A tribute to the past, a look towards the future.
