Over the thirty years, ASERI has formed an international network of professionals active in institutions, organizations, research centers, companies and civil society organizations around the world.

 

This section celebrates their stories, reflections and testimonies – showing how ASERI was not only a place of study, but an educational experience that helped shape personal and professional paths. Different voices that - through the generations -  bring out the lasting impact of the School: academic rigor, cultural richness, human connections and a deep sense of global responsibility.

Maria Nadia Dulcet

MICAD Master - 2025

It was one of the most significant experiences of my personal and professional career. The Master allowed me not only to delve into the great challenges of international development, but also to concretely understand how finance, cooperation and social impact can interact in building real and sustainable changes. The discussion with teachers and professionals capable of connecting theory and practice, transforming global issues into tangible human and professional experiences, was fundamental. In particular, the Impact Investing course and the subsequent experiences related to the Social Open Enterprise Camp (SOEC) played a decisive role in my path, allowing me to deal directly with the world of social entrepreneurship and impact investing. At the same time, participation in the Sankalp Africa Summit and research work on gender-lens investing in Africa offered me the opportunity to deepen the issue of access to capital for women entrepreneurs, coming into contact with experiences, perspectives and realities of extraordinary human and professional value.

MICAD Master - 2025

This master's degree represented a truly significant stage in my personal and professional growth. In addition to the practical tools and knowledge gained, what I was most impressed with was the programme's strong human and values-based approach, which shaped my understanding of global challenges and how international cooperation can address them. Studying alongside a diverse and stimulating group of colleagues made the experience particularly enriching and reminded me of how much can be achieved through collaboration. This path has strengthened my confidence in taking on more responsibility and encouraged me to put myself out there to pursue an impactful international career.

MAGS Master 2025

My experience at ASERI has been invaluable. MAGS has allowed me to consolidate my knowledge, offering me a new perspective of analysis to dialogue and confront the complexity and uncertainty of international dynamics in a critical and conscious way. But, above all, it gave me a deep sense and a new meaning. The organization of the program, the excellent preparation and availability of the teaching staff and the daily relationship with a small class of students from all over the world were the real strengths of this Master, which I consider a cornerstone of my academic career and my personal growth.

MICAD Master - 2025

My experience at MICAD was truly unique: it was a meeting point for young professionals from all over the world, united by a passion for humanitarian commitment and the desire to grow as individuals. This course put us to the test, pushing us to face even uncomfortable situations and requiring critical thinking and a deep capacity for reflection. Through the guidance and support of the lecturers, simulations, seminars and other training activities, I gained new perspectives and a broader understanding of the dynamics of development. MICAD has provided me with a solid foundation to apply both theoretical and practical skills in the real world, which will help me achieve my future goals in the field of international cooperation and development, helping to generate a concrete and positive impact. MICAD: an academic program of excellence in the field of international development!

The Double Degree master in Economics and International Policies was a path that allowed me to deepen my passion for economics, international relations and the strong connections between these two disciplines. In these two years, thanks to the guidance of the professors and the comparison with my classmates, I have developed an analytical approach to the study of global dynamics, as well as a critical spirit and the ability to synthesize: skills that I will take with me into my professional future.

"These two years have taught us more than theories. During this time, global events changed several times: every time we thought we understood a situation, the cards were reshuffled again. And it is precisely this constant change that has become our greatest lesson in resilience. The most important discovery was not only what we learned, but what we have become: people capable of approaching complexity instead of avoiding it. Knowledge is key, but the ability to navigate uncertainty, to question one's assumptions and to continue to adapt is what these two years have really left us."
