Luca Lionello is research fellow in European Union law (academic field IUS/14) at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. After getting a degree in law (2010), he completed a Ph.D. in Institutions and Politics at the same University (2016).

He is member of the editorial board of the review Diritto del Commercio Internazionale  and he is member of the Italian Association of European Union Law Scholars (AISDUE) and the Italian Society of International and European Union law (SIDI).

He published the monograph The Pursuit of Stability of the Euro Area as a Whole.The Reform of the European Economic Union and Perspectives of Fiscal Integration (Springer 2020) and he is the author of more than twenty articles on several topics of European Union law.
