Master in International Cooperation and Development - MICAD


Entry requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • English proficiency
  • Strong motivation, possibly experience-based

Candidates who plan to graduate by April 2020 are admitted to apply for the 2019/20 edition of the program.

Applicant with an Italian Bachelor only: complete the online Application form  (Click on "Non sei ancora registrato? Clicca qui" and create your account).

All other applicants (non-EU, applicants with an international qualification and other EU citizens) can apply here.

Required documents for all applicants to submit online:

  • Copy of Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree
  • Transcripts of Bachelor or Master's Degree (accepted in English, Italian, French, Spanich and Portuguese)
  • Updated CV
  • Application essay (download it at the bottom of this page)
  • At least one academic letter of reference
  • Copy of passport

TOEFL/iBT, Academic IELTS or having completed a degree program taught in English are considered a preferential requirement for applicants whose first language is not English.


Application are now open and will be evaluated in an ongoing process. Since the Master has a limited number of places, early applications have a greater chance of being successful.

Scholarships available


Candidates will be evaluated through:

  • Application essay
  • Personal interviews
  • English language proficiency

Maximum number of participants is 25. Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore reserves the right to cancel the Master's course should it not recruit a viable number of students.


Enrollment procedure for admitted candidates with an Italian Degree:

  • Admitted students will be notified via email and on the admission portal.
  • The enrollment must be completed within 5 working days from the receipt of notice, inputting payment of first installment on master.unicatt.it/application.

Enrollment for admitted candidates with a foreign Degree

Students with a foreign university degree must request the Declaration of Value to the consular offices of the country where the title has been awarded. If the degree was awarded in a EU university, applicants can request the Diploma Supplement released by the university of origin.
