Overview

The First Level Specialising Master in Advanced Global Studies provides students with the tools to study and understand international relations in their complexity. The comprehensive approach to global relations, with political, economic and legal insights, allows MAGS graduates to study the crucial international issues of the contemporary world: from security and humanitarian studies, to sustainable development, migration and environmental issues.

The First Level Specialising Master in Advanced Global Studies, a first-level Master's degree, is designed for:

-          Recent graduates, first or second level, with a strong interest in deepening contemporary international relations;

-          Professionals, with the desire to enhance their knowledge of the contemporary global reality, and with the aim of embarking on an international professional path.

Program

The First Level Specialising Master includes six months of classroom training, in ASERI, followed by about five months dedicated to the internship experience and the drafting of the final Project Work.
Classroom training will consist of lectures and workshops in presence.


The aim of the course is to provide MAGS students with the theoretical and practical tools and knowledge to be able to study and understand the contemporary global reality, in order to train future leaders on the international scene.

The First Level Specialising Master in Advanced Global Studies is characterized by a multidimensional and interdisciplinary approach, which accompanies the four distinct levels of the Master throughout their duration

 

The first level of the Master, dedicated to a scientific study of the global reality, will consist of theoretical studies of Economics, International Relations, but also International Law and security and sustainability studies. In addition, professional managerial and scientific research skills will be provided.

 

The second level of the Master's will be dedicated to regional studies of international relations. Contemporary issues in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America, as well as the contemporaneity of the Middle East will be studied.

 

The third and fourth levels of the First Level Specialising Master will instead be dedicated to the internship experience and the drafting of the final Project Work.

 

 

-          Knowledge and skills, theoretical and practical, to understand contemporary international issues in their complexity;

 

-          Analysis and research skills on global dynamics, from the micro to the macro level;

 

-          A mix of soft and hard skills, which can be spent professionally in an international career, developed thanks to dedicated seminars and interventions.

However, the Master will follow the following structure:

 

January 2026 - June 2026: courses and lectures
July 2026 - November 2026: Internship and Project Work
December 2026: Graduation

Applications will be evaluated progressively. The applications that arrive first will be more likely to be accepted.

  • Self-certification of undergraduate or graduate degree, with the list of exams taken, to be uploaded in a single file. If the graduate degree is in the process of being obtained, the average of the examinations may contribute to the evaluation.

  • Residence permit (only for non-EU citizens)

The participation fee for the MAGS Master is 10000 euros, to be paid in three installments. Scholarships are available to partially cover (25% of the total) the expenses for participation in the Master, which can be assigned on the basis of the evaluation of the Scientific Direction.

 

Exclusively for international students, up to two (2) scholarships are available for 50% of the Master's participation fee and up to three (3) for 25%.

Step 2: evaluation of qualifications by the Didactic Coordination.

 

Step 3: motivational interview with the Coordinator, which will focus on the following aspects:

-          CV

-          Academic and professional career

-          Motivation to undertake the Master's degree

-          Knowledge of the English language

Step 4: admission to the Master's course, upon evaluation by the Management.

 

Step 5: confirmation of enrolment and payment of the first instalment. Once admission has been confirmed, it will be necessary to finalize the enrolment by forwarding the payment for the first instalment of the Master (3000 €). Typically, payment can be made:

-          Within 5 days of admission for Italian students

-          Within 15 days of admission for international students.

The payment methods will be communicated by the competent offices.

 

 

Step 6: enrolment and start of the Master's programme, through the instructions that will be sent by the competent offices.

Visa support: international students enrolled in the Master and who need to obtain a visa will receive a letter of admission to the Master that will be useful for the visa procedure.

 

Declaration of Value/Diploma Supplement: undergraduate and graduate degrees obtained abroad (from non-Italian universities) must be accompanied by a Declaration of Value for non-EU qualifications, or by a Diploma Supplement for qualifications obtained within the European Union.
